In the middle of last week, four people were arrested on drug charges in Stamford, Connecticut. The arrests were made after a drug raid was staged in the Glenbrook neighborhood of Stamford. A neighbor tipped police to what she suspected was drug activity in the neighborhood.

Equipped with a search warrant, the Stamford police department's Narcotics and Organized Crime squad arrived at a house on Scofield Avenue around six in the morning last Wednesday. Four individuals ages 23 to 29 were arrested on drug charges related to marijuana. Police found four ounces of marijuana, scales, packaging materials and $1,000 in cash at the house.

A 29-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on charges of possession of more than four ounces of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, operating a drug factory and possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school. The two were held on a bond of $20,000.

Two other 29-year-old men from Detroit were also arrested in the raid. The two men were charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, operating a drug factory and possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school. Both men were held on a $2,500 bond.

According to police, it was the second time in six weeks that the same house had been raided by police. In the middle of December, police searched the house under a search warrant and found marijuana and a gun.

A neighbor tipped police to what she suspected was drug activity at the house. The woman claimed to have seen a lot of traffic coming and going from the house.
